We are currently looking for an Accountant to join our Florida based team. This is a great opportunity for anybody who would like to learn about accounting and wants to succeed.

ROLE

Based in our Miami Lakes, FL facility, this position will contribute to the existing team by performing general accounting functions, A/P, A/R, inventory, financial and compliance processes, and other typical accounting duties.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Experience, education, certifications, general knowledge, skills, and abilities)

  • 7 years of experience in accounting or similar role
  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting
  • Strong proficiency in QuickBooks
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, databases and accounting software

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Fundamental duties necessary to achieve the objective of the position)

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

· Review general ledger on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy of posting

· Collaborate with International Controller and Accounting Manager to ensure a timely year end compilation and tax issues

· Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles

· Coordinate monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities

· Prepare annual financial budget

· Responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of month-end close and reports

· Analytical review and variance analysis of actual and budgeted financial statements

· Provide training to new and existing staff as needed

· Prepare annual financial statements

· Prepare and review general ledger activity, journal entries and accruals

· Prepare financial statement compilation schedules and tax requirements for external certified public accountants

· Analyze and clean up of general ledgers including balance sheets accounts

· Review, analyze and reconcile fixed assets. Coordinate annual physical inventory

· Participate in general audits

· Collaborate with the daily operations of the accounting department and intercompany transactions. Post all necessary journal entries

· Perform other duties as assigned or required

Must speak and write English to a high level of competency; bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is not required but would be helpful.
