Job description
The Accountant I prepares financial reports to track the organization’s assets, liabilities, profit and loss, reconciliations, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities.At The Fikes Companies, our Mission is to build a highly successful company which our employees are proud of, our customers value, and the communities we serve can count on.
General Responsibilities:
- Maintains the general ledger including reconciling accounts.
- Codes invoices and participates in month-end close activities.
- Reconciles general ledger accounts at least monthly, verifies deposits, and address inquiries from banks.
- Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
- Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, 2-3 years’ experience in similar role, advanced skills in MS Office, general knowledge and/or experience with accounting ERP systems, possess solid analytical skills, must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, attention to detail and strong communication skills are required.
