Admissions Associate

Old Westbury Gardens is currently seeking individuals to work admissions during the course of our upcoming season. Our season runs from April 1st-November (official end date TBD).

Admissions Associate’s Core Responsibility

· Opening the main gate at the start of the day on time and locking it when the day is over.

· Operating the admissions booth.

· Checking in our guests in a friendly manner

· Checking in permit holders for photography sessions

· Answering visitor’s questions about the Gardens (hours of operations, memberships, etc…)

· Helping check in visitors during special events hosted at the Gardens.

Job Requirements

· Must have reliable mode of transportation

· Must be comfortable dealing with the general public

· Must be able to have a consistent friendly demeanor and make ALL of our visitors feel welcomed

· Must feel comfortable enforcing the rules the Gardens have in place when needed.

Schedule

· Our Season runs from April 1st-November (official end date TBD)

· 3-4 Days a week

· Hours: Shifts will generally run from 9:30am-6:00pm. (Subject to change during days where we host events)

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift

• Monday to Friday
• On call
• Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Old Westbury, NY 11568: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Microsoft Office: 1 year (Preferred)
• Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
