Application Support Specialist

Cardinal IP/Cardinal Holdings is actively looking for Application Support Specialist. You will be a part of building the next generation of web-apps applications for patent and trademark services.

We are looking for a friendly, empathetic Application Support Specialist to join our growing team and guidance to external as well as internal users.

Application Support responsibilities:

· Serve as the first point of contact (via phone, email, or web-based support portal) as a part of the customer support team regarding questions and issues related to multiple software products.

· Interact with customers, professional services, project management staff, and software developers to provide advice and assistance as the customer advocate.

· Act as owner for logging and tracking to closure the tickets reported by our internal and external clients.

· QA responsibilities:

· Develops functional, integration and regression testing approaches, plans, and scripts for all applications.

· Executing testing scripts, and where required overseeing the execution of testing scripts in the execution of functional, integration and regression testing.

· Logging and tracking to closure the bugs discovered in functional, integration and regression testing.

· Summarizing and providing reporting and analysis on the progress of testing on a daily and weekly basis.

· Documenting the end results of functional, integration and regression testing.

Level-2 Application Support:

· Handle level-2 customer support calls related to application issues, triage them with the development team on the fixes and provide resolutions to the end-users on a timely basis.

· Document the issues notified by the end users, their underlying root-causes, and troubleshooting information, to help speed up the future issues handling and fixing underlying issues.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

· Understand agile methodology for application development, and familiarity with tools such as Jira for application development task/sprint management.

· Demonstrate a cooperative positive attitude and effective interpersonal and communication skills with clients, coworkers, and other stakeholders.

· Experience with test-driven development.

· Agile testing experience

· Proficiency in estimating requirements with story points with a Sprint

· Knowledge of Git, Jenkins for CI/CD

· A genuine enjoyment of technology

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s Degree: Computers or related discipline preferred but not required.

· 2+ years Quality Assurance experience

· Experience with both front-end (UI) and back-end (API’s) testing

· Experience with Jira and TestRail

· Excellent communication and writing skills.
