We are looking for an Assistant General Manager (AGM) to support the General Manager (GM) with hotel operations at Hampton Inn & Suites in Mansfield, PA. You will plan and support the activities of an extensive and diverse workforce and drive sales for the property.

The Assistant General Manager will demonstrate leadership and build effective relationships internally and externally. Therefore, the ideal candidate will be a team player and an effective communicator, able to set examples and foster a climate of cooperation. The goal is to enhance customer dedication and expand our clientele by strengthening our hotel’s reputation throughout the community, thus increasing profitability.

Essential Functions:

  • Always provide prompt and courteous guest service.
  • Support all the hotel operations, including front desk, breakfast, cleanliness, maintenance, laundry, housekeeping, and landscaping, to provide a clean, neat, organized, and comfortable stay for all hotel guests.
  • Understand and communicate the hotel’s guest loyalty program
  • Oversee inventory control by monitoring, tracking, and ordering all office and front desk supplies, as needed.
  • Administer marketing strategy and group sales and reservations.
  • Respond to all sales inquiries from potential clients and customers to generate business.
  • Manage accounts to achieve guest satisfaction and solicit past and new business to ensure all revenue goals are achieved or exceeded.
  • Monitor and evaluate trends within your market segment.
  • Maintain strong visibility in the local community and industry organizations as applicable.
  • Travel locally to conduct outside calls, promote the hotel, and review competition.
  • Assist General Manager (GM) with daily operations and employee management.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Highschool degree or equivalent
  • Proven experience in hospitality management and sales/marketing is preferred
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of other languages is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office; knowledge of hotel management software.
  • Excellent customer service skills as well as a business mindset.
  • Demonstrable aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving.
  • Outstanding leadership skills and effective communicator.
