Flexible on hours/days as well but ideally looking for 40 hours/week on 6-day/week schedule. Some alternating Saturday's & early mornings required.

We are a new, state-of-the-art dry cleaning plant/store in Apple Valley, MN, located at 7562 149th St. W. with 3 additional drop stores in Apple Valley, HyVee Lakeville, HyVee Eagan and HyVee Savage

We are looking for dependable and hard working Assistant Manager. Dry Cleaning/SPOT software experience is preferred but for the right candidate, we would be happy to train you.

ROLE AND SKILLS:

Provide reliable, enthusiastic and results-oriented management of dry cleaning plant and its employees. Two or more years experience as plant manager, outstanding customer service orientation, strong people management skills and experience operating and cleaning dry cleaning equipment is preferred. Understanding of POS system, spotting expertise, business acumen and/or fluency in Spanish are a plus. Report to and collaborate with Area Manager on key roles:

  • Hands-on training and monitoring of best-in-class operational and CSR service teams that consistently meet or exceed Company defined goals
  • Create and maintain customer-centric culture, exceeding expectations through exceptional personal attention to customers and their garments
  • Day to day: open and close store, supervise employees, fill in at cleaning, spotting and/or pressing as necessary, equipment cleaning and maintenance
  • Actively grow business partnerships and sales
  • Community involvement and business partnerships
  • Manage store level budget and operations
  • Adherence to Company policies and procedures

Key Results (Store Level Metrics

Customer Satisfaction

  • Ensure superior quality production work (meeting Company standards for cleaning, finishing and packaging of garments)
  • Ensure consistent attention to detail (regular inspections for cleaning and stain removal, proper finishing, button replacement, hem repairs, etc.)
  • Ensure minimum errors or re-work (meeting Company goals for damage claims)
  • Ensure a consistently positive experience for customers (meeting customer satisfaction surveys for friendly, consultative, courteous, well groomed employees and a bright, clean, welcoming environment).

Maximize Bottom Line Revenue

  • Meet revenue goals (grow loyal base of core dry cleaning customers)
  • Build profitability (grow piece count and sales of added value services; maximize cash flow margin) Operate within budgeted guidelines and control operational costs (maintain labor percentages within target ranges, achieve cost control and productivity goals, and optimize efficiency with proper upkeep and maintenance of equipment)
  • Monitor store performance against key indicators (weekly, monthly, annually)

Employee Growth & Development

  • Create and maintain friendly, supportive work environment conducive to team and individual growth (physical safety and comfort; employee satisfaction)
  • Training, monitoring and retaining superior key staff (store performance; inspection logs; damage claims; customer feedback; maintaining turnover percentages within target ranges).

Site Operations

  • Manage quality and flow of work (daily and weekly sales, production/employee)
  • Supervising operational and CSR service efforts (fast, efficient, and friendly; following Company standards for receiving, pricing, collecting payment, accurate detailing, sorting, racking, retrieving, and returning customer orders)
  • Train CSR staff on POS system and operational staff on current garment types/fabrics and different methods of cleaning and finishing them
  • Keep accurate records of load poundage, chemical, utility use, waste hauling, inventory, etc (daily, weekly and monthly logs)
  • Follow Company preventative equipment maintenance program (daily, weekly, monthly logs).
  • If equipment is down, responsible for making sure it is back in service before the next production shift begins
  • Ensure predictably reliable services (develop appropriate staffing schedules; follow punctual and correct opening and closing procedures)
  • Regularly perform paperwork, cash outs, audits, and inventory

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
