We are searching for an associate bioinformatics scientist to facilitate the design, analysis, visualization, and interpretation of NGS and other multi-omic data sets. This opportunity offers the chance to work in a fast-paced environment with a dedicated and collaborative, international team. Reporting to the Director of Operations, the successful candidate will significantly contribute to the continued development and support of multiple cutting-edge genomic and cellular technologies.
Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate, design, and manage bioinformatic pipelines for omics-based data sets, including scRNA-Seq, spatial transcriptomics, and bulk RNA Seq.
  • Cloud data management and analysis solutions that aid in the storage, investigation, and dissemination of large data sets.
  • Provide bioinformatics support to R&D by analyzing and interpreting NGS and Spatial-omics data.
  • Communicate with clients to explain NGS and gene expression results
  • Work with IT specialists to maintain and scale our data storage infrastructure.
  • Quality and Procedures – responsible for understanding experimental procedures performed to assure the accuracy and quality of results
  • Work independently and be able to collaborate with scientists to make appropriate and timely decisions to meet deadlines on experiments and projects
Qualifications:
  • Minimum BS or MS in bioinformatics, computational biology, genetics, or related discipline with 1-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Familiar with molecular biology, biological pathways, and genomics
  • Proficiency in the use of bioinformatics software, packages, and databases
  • Familiarity with the application of statistical analytical methods in genetic data analysis
  • Experience with scRNA Seq or CITE-Seq workflows
  • Experience with spatial transcriptomics technologies is a plus.
  • Experiences in using high performance computing and storage systems
  • Proficiency in a minimum of one programming language (e.g., Python, R), in a UNIX/Linux and/or Windows environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
