Job description
Our client is seeking an AutoCAD technician with knowledge of field survey operations,
engineering and construction industry who can provide exceptional value to our clients by transforming ideas into successful projects. Responsibilities include but not limited to;

RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare/Draft survey plans from field crew data collector files (points), field sketches, digital
photographs, and reference maps
  • Generate surfaces using 3D polylines & points
  • Coordinate project requirements with team members and help to complete required tasks when
necessary (i.e., deeds, utility information, FEMA flood plain, Township codes, etc.)
  • Prepare various land survey drafts for various clients
  • The candidate should also possess the ability to review field work and coordinate with field staff as
needed. Karins and Associates is specifically looking for an experienced field surveyor looking to move
into an office position, or an experienced CAD technician with previous field surveying experience.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
  • High School Diploma required
  • Survey and AutoCAD, 2+ years of experience (Full-time, non-exempt)
  • Associates Degree in Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) preferred
  • Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D with 1-2 years" experience and CAD concepts
  • Basic knowledge in: Computers, MS Word and Excel Software, geometry and math, and basic drafting
skills.
  • Ability to read, interpret and draft plans, profiles, cross sections and details
  • Ability to meet project deadlines within given budget limits and time frames
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task assigned projects, and work with minimal supervision
  • Strong technical background
  • Ability to interact well with coworkers, clients, and regulatory agencies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
PREFERRED JOB SKILLS
  • Deed plotting experience
  • Knowledge of field survey operations, engineering, and construction industry
  • Understanding of survey calculations
  • Experience with working with robotic instruments and GPS
