4 Month Contract

M - F; 8 - 5 EST

We are seeking a skilled Contract Azure Cosmos DBA to join our team for a 4-month engagement. The primary responsibility of this role will be to help us build out new Azure Cosmos DBs and train our internal DBA’s to maintain the DB. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Azure Cosmos DB, including creating and maintaining databases, configuring security settings, and optimizing database performance.

Responsibilities:

• Build out new Azure Cosmos DBs based on project requirements.
• Configure database security settings, including authentication and authorization.
• Implement backup and recovery procedures for the databases.
• Monitor database performance and make recommendations for improvements.
• Train internal DBAs on how to maintain the Azure Cosmos DBs.
• Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for the databases as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Azure Cosmos DB administration.
• In-depth knowledge of Azure Cosmos DB architecture and best practices.
• Experience in building and maintaining databases in a cloud environment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $52.00 - $58.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
