Position Summary:
Qualified candidates must reside in GA. The Lead Director, Community Development, will be out in the community, striving to improve community engagement, motivate, and inspire internal and external stakeholders and driving our business growth. This position requires the ability to travel in-state, 40-50% of the time.

Fundamental Components:
  • Builds short term and long-term strategic community engagement plan to drive growth across the State of Georgia.
  • Creates and implement plans to drive membership growth, member retention and partner growth in all counties.
  • Increases self-selection rates for Aetna Better Health of Georgia.
  • Collaborates with internal stake holders to drive and improve health equity and population health measures.
  • Collaborates with Chief Medical Officer and Lead Director of Quality Management to engage in activities that can drive HEDIS measures or other important metrics such as lead testing, immunization, and other mother/child health.
  • Coaches and empowers community development analysts so that they can represent Aetna Better Health programs.
  • Outlines and assigns goals for community development analysts, creates individual development plan to ensure retention and growth.
  • Must be data driven and able to make fact-based decisions.
  • Builds rapport with Providers, Community based organizations, Faith based organizations, schools, county specific health departments/boards and other organizations to collaborate on several programs that improve the quality of life of Medicaid population.
  • Works on brand recognition for Aetna Better Health of Georgia.
  • Collaborates with internal partners from Aetna Medicare/Commercial and CVS community engagement teams to ensure cohesive marketing.
  • Leverages opportunities through CVS and/or minute clinics that can have an impact in the Medicaid population for example, flu shots, Covid shots and other related programs.
  • Accountable for submitting reports to the state for approval of several programs.
  • Responsible for submitting and presenting several internal reports to the service improvement committee and to senior leadership committee.
  • Presents the quarterly regional strategic plan to Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer for approval.
  • Demonstrates problem solving & communication skills to work at all different level of the organization
  • Works on digital marketing campaign with several stakeholders to deliver on key initiative.
  • Understands and values the full spectrum of programs such as enhanced benefits offered by Aetna Better Health of Georgia and is able to educate members, providers, and partners about the full offering.
  • Capability to monitor impact created through different programs and to measure return on investment.
  • Writes and presents impact of all the community-based programs and be able to deliver stories of impact created through programs and partnership established.
  • Chairs and leads MAC meeting on a quarterly basis.

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: 100,000
Maximum: 227,000

Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years marketing/community development experience.
  • 2+ years management experience.
  • 2+ years’ experience working with personal computer and strong keyboard navigation skills.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to be travel in-state, 40-50% of the time. Travel to the Georgia office, is anticipated 1-2 times per week.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in marketing or related field.
  • Medicaid and or managed care experience.
  • Experience with Sales Force.
  • Experience with Asana.

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field, is required.
