    JOB TITLE:
    Crossing Guard

    JOB GOAL:
    To assist children safely through street intersections and to monitor vehicle traffic.

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • High School education preferred.
    • Able to lift required amounts.
    • Experience working with children.
    • Work harmoniously with children.
    • Ability to communicate with teachers and parents.
    • Good physical condition with emphasis on sight and hearing.
    • First aide training preferred.
    • Pass a background check
    • Must obtain an Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

    TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 180 Days (9 Months)
    COMPENSATION: $13.69 - $15.74
    BENEFITS: As per District policy
    REPORTS TO: Principal
    HOURS: 7.5 hours per week
    CLASSIFICATION: Hourly, Non-exempt

    PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to, the following:
    • Places traffic signs where necessary.
    • Walks students through crosswalk where necessary.
    • Monitors student use of line crosswalks.
    • Reports violators, both pedestrians and vehicles.
    • Knowledge of and adheres to all policies, regulations and rules.
    • Performs related duties as required.
    • Performs all duties in a safe and prudent manner as directed.
