Haymarket Media, Inc. is seeking a Custom Content Producer to join our Business Media Group Custom Content team. This position is located in our New York office.
Job Overview:
You’ll have a vision of how best to help our customers achieve their goals by creating compelling, high-quality work that builds audiences and satisfies our many clients in advertising, public relations and health marketing. You’ll work with a team of other storytellers who create video and websites, write e-books and articles. Create live/virtual events and podcasts that bring products, personalities, issues and companies to life. You’ll work with the sales staffs of Campaign US, PRWeek US and MM+M to design and execute activations to bring to our clients, as well as ideas based on what our clients tell you they’re trying to achieve. You’ll be a true player-coach: writing, editing, directing, producing—everything a modern storyteller does—while also being responsible for the quality of the studio’s output.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee creation of content including videos, articles, graphics, roundtable talks and panels at events. Responsible for tone, accuracy and quality
- Interact with clients on creation and execution of contracts, work schedules and edits of content
- Ideation
- Host live events and moderate panels
- Recruit speakers, panelists and quests
- Oversee execution of events such as half-day and roundtable conferences
- Work with sales staff to create marketable ideas, and aid in the sales process
- Represent the brands at industry events
- Travel required
- Not a WFH position
Skills and Requirements:
- 5-7 years of content creation and editing experience
- Impeccable client-relations skills
- Top-notch writing and editing skills
- Experience with podcasting and video
- Operational chops
- Superb taste in talent and content, and the ability to sensitively translate your taste to the staff
- Respect for processes, and a discerning eye for how to improve systems
- A contact list full of top-notch freelancers
- A commercial sense to match your content skills
- An ability to move seamlessly from one task to the next in the course of a day
- Ease and comfort in front of a crowd, or in a pitch
- A sense of humor
- A work ethic that allows you to work until the work is completed
- A sense of urgency and the ability to instill it, nicely, in others
- An ability to use analytics tools to measure ROI for clients
- At least a bachelor’s degree in related field

- The salary range for this position is $70,000-$75,000. Compensation will be commensurate with experience, skill level, functional and/or industry knowledge, education level, certifications, as well as other qualifications.
