WHAT YOU'LL DO...

  • Responsible for understanding all elements of entitlement, engineering, permitting, and construction related to Single Family, Manufactured Housing and RV Resorts site work and onsite amenities
  • Responsible for understanding how engineering and construction factors affect the economics of projects during the due diligence stage of a project
  • Responsible for developing themost cost-effective community is designed and constructed while verifying the projects are built according to acceptable construction practice and the appropriate governing standards and specifications

Project Deliverables:

  • Initial due diligence
  • Develop cost estimates
  • Produce and update development schedule
  • RFP to consulting engineers (geotechnical, civil, architectural, and environmental)
  • Review consulting engineer's contract
  • Construction bid documents
  • Construction contracts
  • Prepare budgets
  • Capex documents
  • Procure permits
  • Prepare project punch list
  • Project closeout

Requirements:

ROLE REQUIREMENTS…

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field is required.
  • Minimum of 15 years of community development experience with at least 5 years managing large scale projects with exposure to scheduling, estimating, project management, contract negotiations and administration, acquisition due diligence, entitlements and permitting, land planning, civil engineering, and architectural design, budget development, housing product development, strategic planning, management of consultants and contractors, and management and development of staff
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal permitting processes, including heavy civil construction processes and techniques, geotechnical engineering practices, land planning, civil engineering and architectural design processes, codes and regulations pertaining to land development and construction, and skilled at negotiation.
  • Understands land acquisition, entitlement, engineering, and construction related to Manufactured Housing (MH) & Recreational Vehicle (RV) lot development and onsite buildings
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, scheduling software, and Project Management Software
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to work in/lead a dynamic team environment with a positive team-oriented mindset
