Cardinal Hayes Home for Children is a not-for-profit agency providing residential care and treatment for young people who are developmentally disabled. Cardinal Hayes Home campus facility is located in Millbrook, New York, a small village about 75 miles north of New York City and 15 miles east of Poughkeepsie.

The Millbrook campus is on 62 acres of land in a peaceful, serene setting in central Dutchess County and is easily accessible via major routes.

We are looking for Home Health Aide/Direct Support Professionals to provide quality care to individuals with disabilities. The ideal candidate will have experience working with providing assistance with activities of daily living, and have a commitment to providing quality care. This individual must also be able to handle the physical demands of the job, such as lifting and transferring patients, as well as possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to patients and their families.
• Monitor vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
• Assist with transferring patients from bed to wheelchair or other devices.
• Assist with ambulation and exercise programs.
• Provide assistance with meal preparation and feeding.
• Assist with light housekeeping tasks.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.05 - $18.55 per hour
