Spherion Gainesville FL has a client looking for Electrical Assemblers to work first and second shifts in their Alachua, FL location. You will be performing electrical assembly in a production environment where you’ll be assembling large and heavy parts to complete subassemblies and drilling rigs using hand tools, power tools, and other specialized equipment. Schedule: FT, M-F 1st 6:30a – 3p and 2nd shift 3p – 11p

Salary: $17 - 19/hr DOE

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Perform a variety of specialized electrical assembly operations

- Review specifications to determine assembly and special options

- Check bins for adequate supplies

- Ensures connections for correct fit, parts, and sub-assemblies per specifications

- Maintains a clean and safe work environment

- Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school or GED preferred

- Previous experience with low voltage controls systems, automotive/vehicle wiring, any form of AC or DC equipment repair or installations highly preferred

- Must have the ability to read blueprints

- Excellent troubleshooting skills

- Knowledge of basic hand tools

- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

- Willingness to work overtime and shift work as needed
