Elementary School Adjustment Counselor

AnthroMed Education is a growing organization with over 100+ related service providers dedicated to providing students with high-quality school-based services. Our practice offers a unique experience for our School Adjustment Counselors by providing 1:1 clinical support, a comprehensive database of resources, and a yearly material stipend.

Right now, we are seeking to add a talented School Adjustment Counselor to the AnthroMed team for a role supporting K - 5th-grade students at one of our partnering schools. As part of this role, you would be supporting students who are non-verbal and low-verbal as they learn social skills, while working with a small caseload of about 25 students.

Location: Salem, MA

Position Details:

• Full-time position for the remainder of the 2022-23 school year (June 20th)
• Supporting students in K-5th grade who are non-verbal and low verbal (ASD)
• Providing learning opportunities with a focus on Social Skills
• Working with a caseload of about 25 students
• Actively participate in developing, evaluating, and updating IEP plans
• Collaborate with a team of special educators and families
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications Required

• Master’s Degree in Social Work Required
• DESE certification
• Prior experience working with students in a school setting preferred
• Prior experience would with students who are non-verbal/ low verbal preferred
