JOB OVERVIEW

As an Email Developer at Callaway Golf, the role will help create and execute best in class UI, UX and email design & development that represent our brands in a unique and standout way. The position will collaborate with other team members such as merchandisers, marketers, designers, and developers to send weekly email campaigns, improve website performance with new features & functionality while exceeding business goals. Requires a detail-oriented designer equally skilled in visual and UX design fundamentals, who also feels comfortable building out responsive pages, components and emails using HTML & CSS.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop and modify responsive HTML email campaigns
• Define and maintain an email template design system to ensure brand consistency
• Design and build new features and functionality to improve the customer experience
• Work with digital marketers and merchandisers to build landing pages for product launches and marketing initiatives
• Ability to complete projects on time and within budget
• Ability to handle change requests and provide quick and efficient solutions
• Proactively provide ideas and solutions to design challenges
• Evaluate and enhance digital creative to strengthen the brand
• Ability to take printed advertising materials and adapt for web applications in a way consistent with a premium brand
• Adhere to corporate style guidelines while incorporating best practices
• Use innovative design styles that pique consumer interest and enhance the end user experience
• Collaborate with other team members on email design and execution to create efficient solutions that will be consumer friendly aesthetically, and technically

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

• Able to elevate content with technically excellent design
• A solid understanding of HTML & CSS and feels comfortable transforming designs into fully functioning code
• A strong communicator who can easily articulate their ideas and design decisions
• Comfortable with receiving feedback and iterating on their designs
• Keeps up with current design trends & best practices and applies them appropriately to their work
• Experience with an enterprise-level email delivery system (ideally Oracle Responsys)
• Email coding experience a plus and not intimidated by a
• Proficient in Sketch or Adobe XD
• Experience with front-end frameworks such as Bootstrap
• Self-starter that takes the initiative to start and complete assignment without direct supervision
• Highly meticulous/very detailed oriented
• The ability to communicate your progress, complete expected key results efficiently, and manage multiple projects
• Ability to take ideas from inception to design to production
• Ability to use performance metrics to drive creative/design objectives.
• Web or graphic design experience with Adobe Photoshop and/or Illustrator
• Golf knowledge a plus

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum 3 years of interactive design and development
