Position

Junior Estimator

What does a construction estimator do? Estimation is one of the key driving forces behind a construction company acquiring new work. Construction projects don’t just come assigned with prices, but rather, it’s the job of the estimators to compile lists of materials, man-hours, and other considerations to determine the estimated cost of a given project. The more effective the estimators are, the more competitive the company is when the client puts their project out to bid. Having a good estimation team is crucial to a company's overall success!

This is an entry-level role designed to be an introduction to construction estimation, within the low, medium, and high-voltage electrical industries. You will work closely with experienced estimators to learn all aspects of the trade and industry.

  • Work alongside other estimators, project managers, and project engineers on change orders and cost to complete estimates of ongoing projects.
  • Additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field or relevant work experience is required
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical and mathematic skills
