The Zions Bank Real Academy Event Services Team is hiring several Event Services Assistants that will conduct the successful operation of stadium and facility events. This is an exciting and engaging opportunity for individuals that enjoy event and game-day setup and operation. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Events, these individuals will carry out event activities involving parking and event-set up/take-down to ensure our customers and fan have a safe and enjoyable experience when visiting the facility.
This is a part-time, position that requires a minimum commitment to working all events. Must have schedule flexibility that accommodates evening and weekend events.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Coordinates the successful execution of MLS Next games, DA Academy games, SLCC Soccer, Utah Warriors Rugby, and other special events at Zions Bank Training Center.
- In coordination with the Director of Operations, Ticketing, and RSL team side staff, ensures client’s and league requirements are met.
- Assists the facilities department as needed.
- Acquire business and execute events for third parties (i.e., corporate outings).
- Help with all facets of most stadium events including, but not limited to, ticketing, maintenance, set-up, security, parking, and settlements.
- Coordinates with outside service contractors to ensure proper security, medical, and parking policies are followed.
- Co-managed daily projects assigned to Event Coordinators and Interns.
- Assist in developing bid documents, requests for proposals, event estimates, and sales efforts as needed.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience working with high school, college, and/or professional sports organizations.
- Available to work 15-30 hours per week depending on the event schedule.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Suite
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and able to make quick decisions
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The job requires regularly lifting/pushing up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifting/pushing more than 40 pounds or exerting heavy force, in a wide disparity or environmental conditions. The job involves standing, stooping, bending, lifting, pushing, etc.
