True Protection is hiring 1 Alarm Installation Technician and 1 Access Control Technician in the Austin area as we continue to grow with a consistent schedule of installs. We have moved our focus from residential sales to commercial and need additional technicians for the extra workload. We use 2gig and Qolsys panels with Z-wave automation products, as well as CCTV surveillance cameras or Wi-Fi cameras depending on the customer's preference.

For commercial jobs, we also install Audio/Video and Access Control. Prefer at least 2 full years alarm experience. Experience with Access Control and/or AV a plus. Must be able pass background check for state licensing and have clean driving record.

Technicians are not required to upsell equipment. Pay is per install with a base rate of $150 with add-ons making average install closer to $200.

Access Control Installers earn up to $450/day based on experience.

Opportunity for promotion to salaried position with company vehicle.

Paid mileage for trips over 50 miles.

Requirements:

-at least 2 years experience

-reliable transportation

-own set of tools

-able to lift at least 45 lbs

-able to climb ladders

-able to run wires through attics when necessary

-experience with 2Gig equipment a plus

-experience with Qolsys equipment a plus

-experience with DSC Neo equipment a plus

-experience with CCTV systems a plus

-willingness to go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction
