• Maintain and repair facility components such as doors and associated hardware, windows, siding, trim, drywall and interior finishes, roofs and roofing systems, flooring, general carpentry, painting, tile, and other facility finishes, systems and components.
• Provide maintenance service to all town owned facilities through specific requests, equipment examination and scheduled maintenance.
• Repairs and replaces appliances such as refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers, disposals, hot water heaters, washer, and dryers, electrical heaters, lights, overhead doors, switches, and receptacles.
• Performs interior and exterior painting, drywall repairs and applies texture finishes.

• General knowledge of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, overhead doors, lighting controls and aplicable repair work
• Knowledge of the hazards involved and safety precautions needed in custodial and building mechanical maintenance work
• Ability too arrive at logical conclusions in emergency situations
• Ability to perform moderately heavy manual tasks requiring the full range of body movements
• Ability to maintain routine records; ability to follow written and oral instructions
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with building user and groups
• Previous computer experience necessary to track work orders and scheduling
• Valid drivers' license
• Minimum of one years of experience in commercial an industrial building maintenance work
