The World Trade Center (WTC) Mental Health Program at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is recruiting full-time psychiatrists to treat 9/11 responders. We are seeking a skilled physician to join our team of dedicated professionals who treat first responders, construction workers, utilities workers, and volunteers diagnosed with psychiatric conditions related to exposure to psychological and environmental hazards at the WTC disaster site. Our interdisciplinary program of psychiatrists, social workers, and psychologists are committed to offering evidence-based psychiatric care and using a variety of modalities including cognitive-behavioral, dialectic behavioral, and psychodynamic treatments. Responsibilities of the position include diagnostic evaluations, medication management and participation in clinical case conferences. The position includes faculty appointment commensurate with experience in the Department of Psychiatry at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. There are opportunities to participate in clinical research and medical school teaching. Full time employment may qualify for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program. Mount Sinai offers a $7,500 bonus to candidates who relocate from more than 50 miles away.

The World Trade Center Health Program is a limited federal health program that provides no-cost services for certified WTC exposure-related health conditions to those directly affected by the 9/11 attacks in New York, the Pentagon, and Shanksville, Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
