Hampshire Farms is seeking a motivated, forward-thinking quality oriented Field Sales Supervisors to manage a staff of field merchandisers who work under their supervision. Supervisors are responsible for driving sales of Hampshire Farms product in garden centers.

Our 1,000,000 square foot wholesale greenhouse is located 40 miles west of Chicago in Hampshire, Illinois. We’ve proudly been in business since 1997 and currently have 20+ acres in production. We grow a complete line of top quality perennials in a variety of sizes for over 100 Home Depot stores across 4 states. We currently produce over 400 varieties and deliver over 4 million perennials annually.

The Field Sales Team makes an impact by tending the plants in the Garden Centers, and providing assistance to give you the right plant for your home and garden.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Field Sales Supervisor has the following duties:

• Responsible to drive sales initiatives to meet sales goals
• Required to visit and manage merchandising operation in assigned stores regularly
• Adhere to labor hours assigned for indoor and outdoor areas by the Director of Sales
• Report inventory changes as well as labor changes
• Record markdown changes on a weekly basis
• Report performance related concerns of store personnel or field sales personnel to Management and Human Resources
• Follow safety standards of the job and communicate same to Field Sales Merchandisers

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

This position is responsible for assigning, reviewing, and checking work of Field Sales Merchandisers.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

HS Diploma

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

• Plant knowledge preferred
• Sales experience required
• Working knowledge of computer, iPad, digital cameras are essential
• Customer service skills are required

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Must be able to work in all weather conditions
• Physical manual labor required
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds, as needed
• Must be available to work weekends
• Schedule flexibility due to seasonal nature of the business

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $43,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
