Job Summary:

Produces additional revenue for the dealership by selling nance and insurance programs and other appropriate after-sale items to new and used vehicle customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides customers with thorough explanation of aftermarket products and extended warranties. Converts cash deals to nance.
  • Processes nance and lease deals accurately and fairly through nancial sources to secure approval. Conducts business in an ethical and professional manner.
  • Processes all federal, state, and dealer paperwork related to vehicle transaction.
  • Understands and complies with federal, state, and local regulations that aect the new- and used-vehicle and nance departments.
  • Completes paperwork necessary for vehicle sales and leases in a timely and ecient manner. Checks all paperwork for correct title, lien information, taxes, etc., before forwarding to accounting.
  • Provides customers with complete explanation of manufacturer and dealership service procedures and policies. Sets up and maintains a program which will ensure 100 percent turnover to the F&I department.
  • Provides sales force and sales managers with current information about nance and lease programs continually. Works with sales managers to secure a reasonable prot from every sale.
  • Ensures collection of all nance and insurance fees.
  • Takes credit applications directly from the customer as needed. Attends sales sta and managers meetings.
  • Handles all rate quotations.
  • Develops and monitors guidelines for working with customers to ensure maximum customer satisfaction. Maintains an adequate and current supply of all required contracts and paperwork needed for completion and nalization of car deals.
  • Maintains a clean and professional work environment. Maintains professional appearance.


Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Previous F&I automotive experience or two years of sales experience preferred.
  • Must have knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations that aect the new and used vehicle and nance departments.
  • Must have knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for service and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Must have knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting and selling products or services.
  • Must have knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as Microsoft Word and Excel, managing les and records, designing forms and other oce procedures.
  • Must utilize eective time management skills.
  • Must have exceptional customer service skills
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Must have a professional appearance and manner.
  • Must have the ability to establish productive, cooperative relationships with customers, vendors, co-workers and management.
  • Ability to maintain high level of condentiality.


Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • A sales license must be maintained.
  • An insurance license must be maintained.
  • Manufacturer certication must be maintained at the minimum level.
  • A valid driver’s license must be maintained.
