Our Valued Partners in the Industrial Fabrication Sector are currently searching for a General Sales Manager for their Nederland location.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Reports directly to the owner of the company.
2. Responsible for all aspects of the business, including operations, sales, purchasing, employees, and financial management.
3. Develop, recommend, and implement a long-term strategy and vision for the business that is based on an in-depth understanding of the market and technology trends, customer needs and competitive position.
4. Achieve revenue, margin and costs targets; develop contingency plans to overcome known and potential obstacles and ensure the achievement of financial and other business goals.
5. Identify growth opportunities by developing and implementing plans to increase sales through increased market share, penetration of new markets, differentiation, promotion of solution value propositions, development of new products and geographic growth. 6. Oversee and assist with project bids and pricing orders, including oversight of bids and pricing done by outside and inside sales personnel.
7. Quote, coordinate and schedule all belt jobs.
8. Check outside sales persons itinerary and call sheets.
9. Oversee and coordinate purchasing function.
10. Review and approve all invoices and day-to-day expenditures.
11. Manage the inventory system, including pricing, quantities, and ensuring adequate and efficient inventory levels are maintained.
12. Provide leadership to and direct, manage, supervise and develop the business’s personnel.
13. Responsible for the hiring, development, and retention of employees.
14. Review and approve payroll.
15. Building and maintaining strong relationships with ownership, customers, suppliers, and employees.
16. Take care of all company bank accounts, 401k plan, and insurance.
17. Oversight of the accounting system and accounting function within the company.

Qualifications and Skills:
1. Possesses both technical credibility and a high level of leadership presence, with the ability to quickly gain the confidence and respect of the employees.
2. Strong team player and takes a “hands-on” approach to running the business and interfacing with customers.
3. Exceptional strategic and conceptual thinking, strong analytical skills and the ability to synthesize complex data.
4. Possesses strong interpersonal skills and a sense of urgency.
5. Leads by example and motivates individuals, at all levels, to strive for success and excellence.
6. 10+ years of experience in an industrial or distribution company.
7. Background in a manufacturing or industrial company with a strong track record of driving profitable growth.
8. Experience and successful track record in operations, business development, and sales.
9. Strong managerial, communication, interpersonal, presentation and negotiating skills.
10. Business leader who has led a business of similar size and complexity.
11. Sound understanding of accounting and financial statements.
