Job description

IHFA has an immediate opening for a Grant Writer with our Homelessness department in Boise, Idaho.

WE IMPROVE LIVES AND STRENGTHEN IDAHO COMMUNITIES.

Idaho Housing and Finance Association’s work touches the lives of tens of thousands of our neighbors each year. We help families open the door to new homes; we help those experiencing homelessness find shelter and stability; we help provide rental housing; and we help Idaho businesses thrive.

Why you should work with us.

None of Idaho Housing’s good work would be possible without our great team. We believe in this so strongly that we made “employees are our greatest priority” a guiding business principle. There’s a reason we’ve been selected as one of the “Best Places to Work” in Idaho for a decade. We’re proud to work for a vibrant, entrepreneurial organization that makes a difference in Idahoans’ lives. We know you will be, too.

  • Quantify resource gaps and create program modeling for new funding opportunities
  • Research best practices, alternative program models, and federal and local regulations/laws that may impact newly secured grants or those being pursued
  • Cultivate and manage community partnerships to completely and effectively operate grant-funded programs
  • Manage complex projects involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Conduct successful training for small and large groups on complex topics and processes using various mediums.
  • Understand federal regulation, develop program policy, and enforce such regulations and policy.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to interpret and communicate federal regulations and administer complex programs efficiently and in compliance with federal requirements
  • Four-year degree from an accredited university preferred
  • Requires experience securing funds for non-profit entities
  • Strong communication skills, integrity, time management, stakeholder relations, and effective use of resources
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to prioritize work effectively.
  • Ability to manage conflict in a fair and permanent manner.
  • Must work collaboratively with various staff, departments and partner agencies

Compensation depends on experience and includes a comprehensive benefit package. Interested applicants may apply at www.idahohousing.com.
