We are looking for a Head of Government Pricing & Reimbursement to join us in our Contracts & Pricing team based in Atlanta, GA or remote.

About the role

The Head of Gov’t Pricing & Reimbursement (GP&R) is responsible for all aspects of UCB Government Pricing Calculations and Reimbursement processes and serves as primary channel of communication in the area of GP&R between UCB and states or government agencies.

Who you’ll work with

The Head of GP&R leads two managers with their respective teams and is responsible for assuring calculations and payments are accurate and on time. In addition, the Head of GP&R is responsible for communicating results, trends and analysis to senior leadership within UCB including changes proposed or implemented in the external landscape (new guidance / regulations) for gov’t programs.

What you’ll do

• All Gov’t pricing calculations: Medicaid (AMP, BP, URA), 340b (AMP, URA, CP), Medicare Part B (ASP), Federal Supply Schedule (NFAMP, FCP, Tracking Customers).
• State Price Transparency reporting: Price changes, Product launches
• All Gov’t programs reimbursements: Medicaid (Medi, MCO, ADAP, SPAP, Supplementals), Medicare Coverage Gap, Tricare, FSS IFF. This responsibility includes updates in Medicaid due to restatements and reimbursement to 340b entities due to overcharges as a result of restatements or other factors.
• Oversight of Supplemental Medicaid proposals, analysis, approvals, and submissions during the bid process.
• Impact analysis due to internal changes (WAC changes, contract price changes) as well as external changes (CMS, VA guidance updates and proposals).
• Ensuring the GP&R team is properly trained on UCB SOPs and systems.
• Partner with UCB legal (and outside counsel) to ensure appropriate interpretation of guidelines and proposals from both internal and external sources.
• Coordinate with Legal, Compliance and State Government Relations team to monitor and respond to state price transparency reporting requirements.
• Monitoring legislation and Pricing & Reimbursement trends and assess strategic and operational implications.
• Leading the implementation of system & process improvements across the various calculations and within the integrated Model N system as appropriate as well as providing guidance and oversight to the team for related testing.
• Adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, corporate and business unit standards and requirements

Interested? For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience and skills

• Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree preferred

• 5+ years of experience in a leadership position in pharmaceutical Government Pricing Reimbursement
• 15+ plus years of relevant government pricing, business operations and/or finance experience
• Thorough knowledge of the different state and federal government agencies that purchase pharmaceutical/biotechnology or related industry products
• Thorough knowledge of the current policies and guidelines that affect government programs, pricing and payment adjustments (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid)
• Proven success in managing a team
• Proven success in developing and implementing process improvement strategies with knowledge and ability to implement effective internal control
