Job Summary
A key role in a large and growing physician practice with twenty locations in Georgia. Responsibilities require direct telephone communication with insurance carriers to confirm benefits, in and out of network status with our clinics, providers, and ambulatory surgical centers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Execute a clearly defined workflow to verify 100+ referrals daily
  • Enter notes/special instructions for scheduling in electronic medical record
  • Understanding of insurance types and benefits
  • Must be able to maintain referral box to within 24 hours
  • Needs to have a clear understanding of different types of insurances
  • Must be able to work efficiently and with limited supervision
  • Other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience/Skills/Certifications
  • At least 1 years’ experience in a medical office preferred
  • Able to operate independently, in a self-directed manner, with detail and accuracy
  • Good command of the English language, both verbal and written
  • Comfortable interacting and working well with physicians and other medical professionals
  • Able to resolve problems involving several variables
  • Experience working a regularly scheduled shift where lunch and break times are assigned
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • High school diploma or GED required
