Overview:

The RF Design Engineer- DAS will have ownership of the design process in multiple projects, managing RF network designs, testing and documentation processes. This position requires a diversified technical skill set and a strong understanding of cellular technologies, particularly with in-building systems.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

· Responsible for Inbuilding & Venue DAS and Small Cell system design and planning.

· Perform Carrier-specific, Neutral Host Designs to support 5G/4G/3G technologies.

· Perform Site Surveys & RF benchmarking to initiate the Design efforts.

· Perform Link budget analysis, power analysis, budgetary analysis.

· Generate RFDS, BOM & Plumbing diagrams.

· Design Database Review and Update to include New Site and Cell Information in Atoll

· Updating the Existing Cell/Site Information to match Live Build/On Air Site Status/Final RFDS.

· Interface with national and regional engineering teams, field operations, third party DAS providers, development teams, and venue owners.

· Support field teams during site construction for Design guidance and/or revisions.

· Complete a pre-construction site walk to verify cable routing and equipment location.

· Completed DAS design modification if any are required before providing the updated package to C&E for construction and for RAN Optimization to launch the venue.

Qualifications –

Skills and Experience

· BS of Electrical Engineering or Electronics and Communication Engineering or Telecommunication Engineering or Computer Science, M.S. is preferred.

· Candidate MUST HAVE 5-7 years of professional experience designing of multi-sector, DAS using most major DAS OEMs such as Corning, Commscope, TE, SOLiD, ADRF, JMA/TEKO, etc.

· Experienced with IBS commissioning with key OEMs

· Experienced with 3GPP RAN product architecture, design, implementation, and performance improvements (KPIs).

· Working knowledge of various RF antenna technologies & network designs

· iBwave Level 2 Highly Preferred

· DAS OEM certifications Highly Preferred

· Experience in Link Budgets for multiple technologies/frequencies.

· Familiarity of DAS commissioning, optimization, and troubleshooting is a plus

· Familiarity with Data Collection software such as TEMS, NEMO, WIND is a plu

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50.00 - $65.00 per hour
