Overall Purpose:
Under direct supervision of a Yard Group Leader or Supervisor in charge of scheduled, mobile workers at a facility, to perform grass, wood and shrub cutting, yard slaging, snow removal and salting, general good housekeeping and related work.
Job Duties:
- Receives and follows instructions in substation and other facilites' clearance, safety, and operating procedures.
- Assists in maintaining the substation, facility or other properties in a clean, orderly condition.
- Performs: grass, wood and shrub cutting; application of weed control materials, insecticides and fertilizers.
- Assists in repair and restoration of yard grades, slag surfaces and drainage installations.
- Performs cleaning duties such as: washing of facility interiors, removal of rubbish; washing windows, cleaning exterior grounds, walks, driveways and yards; sweeping, mopping, waxing floors; and, other general cleaning duties as assigned.
- Assists in the removal of snow and ice from walkways.
- Submits daily logs of the work performed including data entry and other reports of work performed and unusual conditions observed.
- Performs other work as required and assigned.
Education / Experience Requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent required
- CDL Class A with endorsements preferred
