Your Role in the Company

The purpose of this position is to provide leadership to the organization by planning, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the facility's daily operations. The Executive Director is responsible for the creation and maintenance of a culture of respect and responsiveness for both residents and staff and ensures the accomplishment of quality, clinical, financial, staff satisfaction, and strategy outcomes.

Elements of the Position

· Establishes Organizational Strategies-by contributing information, analysis, and recommendations to strategic thinking and direction; establishing functional objectives in line with organizational objectives.

· Establishes Operational Strategies-by evaluating trends; establishing critical measurements; determining production, productivity, quality, resident-service, safety, security, and health strategies; developing systems concepts, implementation criteria, and integration methods; accumulating resources.

· Establishes Financial Strategies- by estimating, forecasting, and anticipating requirements, trends, and variances; aligning monetary resources; developing action plans; measuring and analyzing results; initiating corrective actions; minimizing the impact of variances.

· Maintains Legal and Accreditation Compliance-by developing policy positions concerning federal, state and local regulations; anticipating emerging issues.

· Establishes Organizational Management Objectives-by determining accountabilities ; communicating and enforcing values, policies, and procedures; implementing communication programs; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions of direct report Management staff; planning and reviewing compensation strategies with Human Resources.

· Provides Physical Resources for CCRC Services-by planning, developing, renovating, and building facilities; contracting with architects, space planners, and contractors.

· Resolves Legal Disputes-by participating in litigation; keeping Corporate informed; evaluating opinions; making recommendations on settlements.

· Improves Quality Results-by studying, evaluating, and redesigning CCRC service delivery; finding ways to offer new, cost effective services; implementing changes.

· Sustains Community Involvement-by implementing public relations programs; speaking to community groups; developing cooperative relationships with the business community.

Qualifications

Possesses a current, unencumbered State of Tennessee Nursing Home Administrators License.

Needs 5-7 years of senior leadership in a long term, multi-level retirement community preferred.

Knowledge of nursing and medical practices, procedures. laws, regulations and guidelines pertaining to long-term care administration. Familiar with laws, regulations and guidelines governing personnel administration. Working knowledge of accounting processes, planning, quality improvement and assurance.

Education:

Florida Nursing Home Administrator License

Minimum Bachelors Degree in Health Care Administration or related discipline.
