Shift: Monday through Friday 7am-3:30pm

Position Summary:

Under limited supervision, handle, allocate, and transfer material, equipment, kits, supplies, and shortages that are required and conducive to maintaining an efficient material flow through storage, receiving, packaging and shipping areas. Maintain inventory accuracy within ERP systems.

Essential Functions:

It is essential for all employees to adhere to Company policies.

A. Receive and put away materials from purchase orders, transfer orders, and warehouse transfers.

B. Accurately process requests for inventory and company shipments for cross dock of material to individuals and vendors.

C. Physically load, transfer, and unload materials to and from storage, receiving, warranty, maintenance, machining, suppliers, shipping, packaging, etc. including different buildings using material handling equipment and/or company vehicle (24-foot truck).

D. Perform transactions in ERP system to maintain accurate and timely inventory data including location replenishment & cycle counts according to work instructions and/or training. Support problem solving when discrepancies are identified.

E. Perform AQL audit of packaged product and packed shipments. Provide daily summary of results.

F. Locate materials and expedite part shortages that may be required for completion of orders maximize labor & capacity utilization.

G. Ensure Kanban cards flow properly through their respective loops and support problem solving when issues are identified.

H. Work with cross-functional teams including quality, sourcing, suppliers, and manufacturing to address any issues with materials.

Experience and Education:

A. High School diploma or equivalent required.

B. Three or more years material handling or combined packaging and warehouse experience required.

C. Must be able to utilize small hand tools and operate materials handling equipment including forklifts, skids, pallet handlers, hand trucks, and other similar equipment.

D. Ability to read, comprehend, and write English at a level to effectively utilize and interpret MSDS’s, work instructions, and technical manuals.

E. Ability to effectively utilize basic math skills required.

F. Requires a forklift license, internal training available as required.

G. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office software skills (Word, Excel, & Outlook) and Microsoft Dynamics AX experience preferred.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is continually required to stand; walk; balance; use hands to finger, handle, grasp, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms, some overhead. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb; twist; stoop; kneel; crouch; or crawl; and talk or hear.

The employee must continually lift and/or move up to 30 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee must regularly push/pull an average of 125 lbs, and occasionally push/pull up to 1200 lbs. with material handling device. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

The employee must operate powered vehicles such as forklift and various lifts/hoists. At times, the employee will handle hazardous materials such as chemicals.

The employee may be asked to drive 24-foot truck between buildings and drop off/pick up locations.

Working Conditions/Physical Hazards:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a production environment with regular exposure to noise. Work area is well lit and subject to seasonal temperature variation.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
