Description: Xcaliber International, Ltd., L.L.C. is a privately-owned tobacco product manufacturer located in Pryor, Oklahoma. Founded in 2000, Xcaliber International manufactures value-priced cigarettes with an emphasis on quality and state-of-the-art production methods. The 136,000 square foot production facility in Pryor, Oklahoma is home to administration offices, production space featuring high-speed combination production lines, and 80,000 square feet of automated warehouse space and freight-handling facilities. We are seeking a Mechanical Technician for the Pryor, Oklahoma manufacturing facility.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEAssociate must have good problem-solving skills, and a solid understanding of mechanical operations of manufacturing equipment and components such as motors, gear boxes, electrical connections, conveyor belts, and a general knowledge of similar equipment. Knowledge of equipment testing instruments such as calipers and micrometers for precise dimensional measurements, troubleshooting manufacturing equipment, capturing data, documenting findings and communicating with mechanical supervisors, are required. The associate must be proficient with hands on operations and mechanical equipment operations and troubleshooting. The incumbent should possess a working knowledge of manufacturing of consumer goods in general, and a typical flow of materials into a factory environment.
The position requires significant attention to detail, accuracy in results, follow-through, and timely documentation.


DUTIES

  • Equipment disassembly, assembly, installation and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to fully understand mechanical drawings and schematics.
  • Communicates operational status on a continual basis to the Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance Manager.
  • Attend to and effectively repair breakdown in a timely manner.
  • Work with other personnel, if necessary, to fix mechanical failures.
  • Timeliness, efficiency, mechanical issue resolution, and follow through are the key aspects of this position to ensure production schedules are met.
  • Serve as a technical mechanical resource to the Plant Management.
  • Maintain familiarity with tobacco/cigarette manufacturing equipment and processes.
  • Ability to work with computers and computer programs such as Microsoft Excel and Word is preferred.
  • Experience using and accessing manufacturing database systems is preferred.
  • Must be a quality minded team player that takes the initiative to improve product and process performance.
  • Knows and complies with all safety and quality policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years hands-on experience in mechanical operations of manufacturing equipment.
  • A.S. in Electrical Engineering or 4+ years of combined education and experience.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical field.
  • Prior tobacco manufacturing experience.
