Average Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:5
Shift: 7a-7p or 7p-7a, Days/Nights Vary

This position has up to $15,000 extra pay available upon employment with WHS as a full-time, Med/Surg RN/Registered Nurse on Nights 7p-7a and $10,000 extra pay available upon employment with WHS as a full-time, Med/Surg RN/Registered Nurse on Days 7a-7p. Must have a minimum of 1 year experience as a RN to be eligible. Candidates requiring VISA sponsorship are not eligible for the bonus.

Requirements: 1) Current Texas RN licensure 2) BLS 3) ACLS

Must have current licensure upon hire. New Hires will have 60 days to acquire the required CPR and ACLS.

Summary: Coordinates nursing care and patient/family education for the PEDIATRIC, ADULT, and GERIATRIC patients through the use of the nursing process; maintains positive working relationships with staff and other departments to provide optimal quality outcomes within the framework of professional nursing practice. These responsibilities are met according to hospital policy, hospital mission statement and the philosophy of the Department of Nursing. Basic arrhythmia/telemetry training

Knowledge and Ability: Demonstrate a knowledge base and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the condition and age of the patients served. The nurse must demonstrate familiarity with the principles of growth and development throughout the life cycle. The nurse must be able to assimilate basic knowledge and patient related data to perform a comprehensive and age appropriate assessment.
