Bilingual Medical Assistant
Spanish (required)
(Podiatry Experience A Plus)
Full-time position to work on in the front or back office for our fast paced specialist clinic.
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Greet patients upon arrival, sign them in and obtain insurance information and any other necessary data
- Verify insurance benefits/obtain authorizations as needed to process patient for services
- Check patients out
- Faxing and Filing Signatures for home health
- Sending DME orders
- Filling in prescriptions
- Answer multi-line phones and either direct the caller to the appropriate party or handle the caller’s needs yourself
- Sending out consult notes to referring providers
- Adding consults in system and In patient surgeries
- Schedule appointments for new and recurring patients based on Physician and PA/NP availability
- Assist Dr with procedures / Prepare FMLA paper work
- Stock Rooms /Order back office supplies
- Provide patients with support and guidance as needed
- Travel with Dr To remote locations (Carrizo Springs, Beeville, Pearsall, Pleasanton, & Northeast Location)
- Room patients and enter Chief Complain
- Perform any other duties assigned
Monday Wednesday Friday 07:30 AM to 04:30 PM. Tuesday 07:30 AM to 05:00 PM Friday 07:30 to 1:00 p.m.
Experience with Athena Health is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $12.00 to $14.00 /hour
