POSITION: Medical Laboratory Technician

HOURS: PRN

JOB SUMMARY: Performs a variety of laboratory testing as ordered by physicians. Performs phlebotomy on patients of all ages.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Must be a graduate of an accredited 2 year program for laboratory technicians.

2. Must have current Tennessee State license for Medical Lab Technician.

3. Ability to operate all laboratory equipment.

4. Knowledge of laboratory testing procedures.

5. Ability to work under pressure.

6. Courteous attitude to employees, physicians and patients.

7. Ability to take "on-call" status.

8. Ability to reason, make judgments and take independent action.

9. Finger and manual dexterity necessary to handle specimens and equipment.

10. High degree of accuracy required for testing and performance.

11. Moderate amount of standing, bending, stooping, walking and lifting (30lbs).

Pay: $21.00 - $30.00 per hour
