Competencies for a Drywall Finisher
- Taping of joints – corners, and etc.
- Handling of equipment, (banjo – towels – sprayers)
- Mixing of compounds, (dry and premixed)
- Appling of texture to walls, ceilings in an even uniform, professional manner.
- Internal workings of spraying equipment for adjustment, maintenance and cleaning.
- Able to work overhead on stilts and scaffold and walk while looking up.
Essential Functions
- To seam tape joints and compound, inside corners, wall to ceilings
- Install corner bead (square & round) to walls, archways, beams, alcoves, build outs, etc.
- Fill all screw, nails with compound – allow to dry – sand each
- Apply drywall finishes – sand – textured – spatter coat – know down – smooth, allow to dry, spray primer coat and/or (optional) ultra or equal paint.
