IMMEDIATE OPENING for a Full-time Nurse Practitioner (Family Practice) to support Mountain Home AFB, ID.

Qualifications

  • Degree: Master's degree in nursing.
  • Applicants shall be a graduate of an approved Nurse Practitioner program, have certification by American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), and have a minimum of two year post graduate clinical experience.
  • Applicants shall possess and maintain an unrestricted U.S. state license in his/her specialty.
  • Applicants must have and maintain a current, active, valid, unrestricted state license to practice medicine in one of the 50 states in the United States, or the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam or the U.S. Virgin Islands as required to obtain or renew a DEA registration number under the then effective DEA rules.
  • Experience: A minimum of two years’ experience as a Nurse Practitioner in family practice, primary care, or orthopedic care. Flight Medicine experience or experience working deployment-related health assessments is highly desirable but not required.

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Perform deployment related health assessment (DRHA), preventive health assessment (PHA) and annual mental health assessment (MHA) services that comply with applicable Department of Defense and Air Force policy and guidance, to include required standards of care and clinical practice guidelines.
  • HCW must become proficient in the use of the following computer systems: Aeromedical Services Information Management System (ASIMS), Preventative Health Assessment and Individual Medical Readiness (PIMR), Military Health System GENESIS (MHS GENESIS), and any additional computer systems that are relevant to this position.
  • Provider will carry the load of patients per Defense Health Agency (DHA) guidelines for Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) of greater than or equal to 100 patients per week, with appropriate decrements for AMRO time at the discretion of the SGP.
  • Provider is expected to track, report, and brief DRHA-related metrics at meetings and functions at the discretion of the SGP, to include Medical Group and Wing functions.
  • Provider will assist and support in the Flight and Operational Medicine Clinic (FOMC) and Warrior Operational Medical Clinic (WOMC) as deemed necessary by the SGP, flight, and squadron leadership.
