Position Title: Operations Coordinator - Routing

Schedule: Monday through Friday 12:30PM-9PM

Department: Delivery - Warehouse

Position reports to: Delivery/Warehouse Manager

Primary purpose and function of position: Responsible for routing orders for next day delivery while supporting all delivery & warehouse departmental functions.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Route orders for next day delivery utilizing VIP, Roadnet & Fleetloader
• Proficient in using driver handheld units
• Develop efficient and productive routing and truck loading processes
• Assist with identifying any issues/ideas/solutions that will enhance the operation
• Assist in truck counts/ pallet weights to insure loading accuracy
• Answer phones as necessary from customers, both internal and external
• Support all delivery and warehouse operations
• Supervise night loader, driver and day warehouse union employees
• Establish daily manpower requirements for loading and delivery drivers
• Reconcile daily receipts/routes
• Work within the parameters of the current collective bargaining agreement

Qualifications and requirements:

• High school diploma or GED certificate required
• Distribution experience preferred
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Must meet state age requirements
• Valid driver's license;
• Safe driving record
• Highly self-motivated with a positive, can-do attitude
• Highly organized with ability to manage priorities and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong internal and external customer orientation
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Familiarity with local, state and federal liquor laws
