Summary: The Operations Division is currently seeking a qualified individual for the position of Operations Manager to ensure our Guests are provided with Friendly, Clean, Fast, Safe Service. This individual will be primarily responsible for all Admissions, Aquatics, Ride Operations and Park Services related functions along with other areas of the Park Operations Division.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Supervise and evaluate the performance of Admissions, Aquatics, Park Services and Ride departments
  • Work closely with Maintenance to minimize downtime and maximize safety and throughput of all attractions.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance on all off-season activities to include training, winterization, park cleanup and pool cleaning functions.
  • Assist with Department and Park-wide training sessions and scheduling as necessary.
  • Ensures that proper staffing levels are maintained by recruiting, interviewing and supervising seasonal Team Members.
  • Monitor and ensures compliance with all aspects of all of the departments training and safety program and ensures 100% compliance with all Six Flags Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with all aspects of the Ellis & Associates program to include lifeguard certification and in-service training.
  • Responsible for maintaining a “Total Safety” culture for both Guests and Team Members.
  • Ability to cross train and assist other departments.
  • Acting as duty manager as assigned.
  • All other duties as assigned by the Park Director

Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong leadership and team building skills with the ability to work independently
  • Experience in supervision and training of employees as well as experience in Customer Relations.
  • Current Ellis and Associates Lifeguard Certification (including deep water attractions), or ability to obtain.
  • Minimum two years’ experience in Theme Park management with Park Operations experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal, written and analytical skills, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and multi-task under pressure in a fast paced environment.
  • Available to work a variety of hours or shifts, including weekends, evenings, holidays and travel.
  • Willingness to cross-train within the division.
