Sears Home Improvement is currently seeking an Outside Sales Representative to join our team in Chicago, IL!

$75,000+/yr for OTE

$5,000 Sign On Bonus

About:

The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for covering assigned pre-set appointments and self-generated leads. Sales appointments will include a full product presentation to our customers, utilizing our selling process to achieve required sit ratios and conversion percentages.

Pay Structure:

  • The first 4 weeks will be a mix of virtual and on the road training at the rate of $20.00 an hour (17 weeks of paid training in total)
  • Starting week 18 it will be 100% uncapped commission
  • Bi-weekly pay cycle; payouts occur on the following paycheck
  • Each product line has an average commission rate of 10%
  • Fuel Reimbursement - 62.5 cents per mile

Territory/Schedule:

  • REMOTE-WORK, 2-hour radius from HOME zip code, within general district territory
  • Only report to Sales Office for required sales meetings after training (sales office located in Chicago, IL)
  • Mon-Sat (Outside Sales Reps will only work 5 days)
  • Saturdays are mandatory
  • Appointment times are 10 am, 2 pm, and 6 pm

Responsibilities:

  • Presents Sears Home Improvement products and features while complying with required style, size, and price criteria
  • Adheres to Sears Home Improvement selling process so it reflects the needs of the consumer
  • Builds a quality commission sale that adheres to the customer's needs while driving Company revenue growth
  • Dispositions appointment outcomes properly to allow accurate reporting in Company's reporting tools
  • Maintains the Company's required sit ratios for in-home sales presentations in order to maximize the potential conversion to net sales
  • Maintains the desired close percentage to ensure Company achieves the required revenue targets
  • Ensures all contracts are complete and include pertinent elements needed for job installation with required documentation
  • Produces additional revenue through self-generated and referral activity
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of sales experience
  • Valid Driver License for the state of employment
  • Up to 100% travel with reliable transportation and possess vehicle insurance
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including more than 50 hours a week
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to negotiate contracts and set priorities (both orally and in writing)
  • Ability to drive for long periods and in various geographic areas
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite, computers, and related software
  • Ability to lift and carry product sample display cases up to 40 lbs and frequently bend, stoop, kneel, stretch, twist, reach and climb
