We have an opening for a Packer second shift 11:30 am – 8:00 pm with some overtime and some Saturdays.
Job Description:
Responsible for packaging, labeling and stocking of manufactured and purchased semi-finished product. This position is critical for ensuring the customer receives a quality production a timely manner.
Job Requirements:
Selecting work orders from color coded lane or hot sheet based on priority. Audit quantity and accuracy of product against work order, send back to manufacturing if necessary. Review work order for special instructions. Select proper packaging materials and pack product. Print label and attach to packaged product. Take package product to the correct location to be stocked. Record location and quantity, initial and turn completed paperwork to Inventory Control. Restocking current supplies. Retrieve necessary supplies as needed.
Other:
Ability to lift, push/pull and stand for long periods of time.
Frequently lifting and push/pull up to 50 lbs and occasionally up to 75 lbs.
Functional Skills and Knowledge:
Moderate knowledge of AS400 system. Basic math skills and moderate data entry skills.
Forklift certification. Previous experience working in a packaging department preferred.
