COMPANY INFORMATION

EEW American Offshore Structures Inc. (EEW AOS) is currently establishing its US operations in Paulsboro, NJ, and is looking for a full-time position of Painter/Blaster operators to join its growing team.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 2 years of painting, coating, blasting, and/or thermal spray experience.
• Coating proficiency test shall be carried on a test panel (1m X 1m) containing at least 1 pipe end, 2 pipes, 1 angle, and 1 flat bar.
• Visual inspection and thickness checks
• Certification to NACE preferred
• OSHA-10 preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

• Executes the specific spray-on materials, equipment, and construction/installation activities on site. Mixing and thinning of coatings, monitoring pot life, and surface requirements
• Control of storage and certification of consumables.
• Blasts metal surfaces in preparation for application of marine coatings
• Checks surface preparation
• Performs visual checks after blasting
• Checks and records atmospheric conditions prior to starting painting operations.
• Verifies the correct color-coding and painting
• Proficient with measurement tools (micrometers, height gages, etc.)
• Confident in interpreting OEM blueprints and following detailed router instructions
• Strong communication skills
• Understanding of basic math computations
• Must be able to communicate (Read, Write and Speak) English fluently
• Position requires standing, walking, and bending. Frequently lift and/or move up to 25/50 pounds
• Must be willing to work extended hours, and weekends as necessary to meet customer demands
• Required to follow all quality and safety requirements

• Comfortable performing work in painting or blasting equipment
• Willing to work 1stshift

Test

The coating proficiency test shall be carried out on a test panel (minimum 1x1 m) containing at least 1 pipe end, 2 pipes, 1 angle, and 1 flat bar. (Visual Inspection, and Thickness checks)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
