We are looking for a Prep Cook/Dishwasher who is available Tuesdays thru Sundays. The expectation for this position would be more time dishwashing, but the ability to assist all others in the kitchen with prep or other assignments as needed or during down time.

Requirements:

· 1+ years’ experience in a food industry related position

· Possess a valid Food Handler’s Card or obtain one during training upon hire as required by law

· Comfortable standing and walking for shift’s duration with the ability to lift up to 60 lbs. with bending, reaching, squatting, and twisting involved

Qualifications:

· Team player with good communication skills; it takes a highly collaborative team to ensure safety and workplace efficiency from the front to the back of house. Everyone is valuable and each position is critical to the overall success of our team

· Punctual with a positive attitude and willingness to learn, help others, and professionally grow

· Time management: prioritizing tasks for timely completion and asking for help when needed will be expected of you

· Cleanliness and organization; you know where everything is, and everything has a place, with safety always in mind

· Great technique; knife skills, safe handling of equipment, knowledge of different cooking methods, and safe temperature management of foods; stored, cooked, uncooked, and served

· Follow and promote all safety protocols intended to keep team members and customers safe

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Wash dishes, glassware, pots, pans, flatware, and kitchen items, using dishwashers or by hand

· Place clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in appropriate areas

· Maintain the cleanliness of all surrounding equipment, floors, walls, and cooking area

· Ensure that all cleaning agents and chemicals are safely stored according to food safety and Osha health standards as required by law

· Remove trash from the BOH and transport to the dumpster. Clean and sanitize garbage cans

· Pushing and pulling occasionally, to move equipment, mops, and brooms

· Potential hazardous exposures, not limited to, cuts from broken glass, metal cans, scalds, and burns, slipping, and tripping, exposure to and contact with chemical cleaning agents

· Ability to withstand temperatures in a hot and damp kitchen environment

· Assist in preparation of food in a timely manner according to the projected prep list, following recipes, and safety procedures

· Follow all health code standards and protocol ensuring proper sanitation of all cutting boards, soiled equipment, bins, towel disposal

· Keep all food items and ingredients rotated in accordance with food safety and Club Standards (FIFO-first in, first out)
