Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drive development of product reliability requirements and environmental analysis for multiple industry use cases (Maritime, Consumer, Military, Aero, Automotive) in accordance with industry standards
  • Coordinate and conduct risk analysis efforts early in product development utilizing FMECA, drive and track risk mitigation efforts as a result of the analysis
  • Develop product reliability predictions using Telcordia SR-332 methods
  • Develop reliability models and block diagrams to predict product field reliability and availability for complex high reliability telecommunication systems
  • Define strategies and develop goals for initial reliability demonstration, and ongoing product reliability assessment utilizing accelerated test methods
  • Analyze failure data driving data based decision making and proactive engagement using Weibull analysis
  • Engage with product failure analysis efforts with internal and external lab testing to understand physics of failure, root cause, and potential future product improvements
  • Define and execute test plans for environmental qualification both on-site and in coordination with outside labs
  • Track field performance, metrics, and drive goals into products
  • As Reliability subject matter expert promote reliability ideals and standards throughout the organization
Qualifications:
  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or other Engineering discipline
  • >10 years experience in the field of Reliability for complex electronic products
  • Experience with defining reliability goals, strategy, to achieve them throughout the entire lifecycle of a product
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently to achieve desired results from general objectives
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with contractors, and engineering teams worldwide
  • Previous experience with the Reliasoft software suite of tools
  • Excellent communication skills: listening, speaking, and in writing; able to express thoughts and concepts to a variety of people with different skill levels
  • Proven abilities to successfully lead failure analyses to proper long-term corrective actions
  • Experience with communication systems, radio/microwave frequency, and/or vsat systems is a plus
