Are you ready to dive into an exciting opportunity? Our company in Sparta, TN is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the charge in new product development, design, R&D, and project management. We're looking for someone with a high-energy personality who comes from a high-mix, low volume industry, preferably the marine industry. As an Engineering Manager, you'll be responsible for designing and developing new products that support sales initiatives and contribute 5% or more to annual sales revenue over the first two years. You'll also establish continual improvement processes to meet quality, productivity, and cost initiatives as identified and establish improved timelines that support sales objectives for quotes and product setups as agreed upon.

Your primary duties and responsibilities will include leading teams in the development of new products, solutions, and processes while following best practices to ensure projects are appropriately managed and tracked to achieve success. You'll manage staff and assign tasks to engineering personnel, drive continuous improvement across all areas, and oversee department and project budgets along with cost reduction initiatives.

You'll also oversee quotes and cost analysis for all TACO-engineered products to ensure accuracy and timeliness in meeting company objectives, work with the sales department to provide direct technical support to the sales team and customers, and maintain up-to-date and accurate, centralized drawing files for all active products produced by TACO. You'll manage the ECN process, oversee the setup of part numbers and bill of materials for all new parts produced within TACO, and ensure proper standard operating procedures are drafted and in place for all new projects before being turned over to production departments.

The ideal candidate will have a BS degree in Engineering, MBA a plus, 7+ years of manufacturing experience working with metals, plastics, and electrical components in a recognized, high quality, high mix, low volume organization, and solid analytical skills. Excellent computer skills and working knowledge of Auto CAD, SolidWorks, ERP systems, Salesforce, Excel, and Word are a must. You must also possess excellent communication and team-building skills.
