In coordination with Coordinator of Behavioral Services or Director of ADT and Residential, develop new skill acquisition programs.

Facilitate all Support plan and IPP meetings. Assist in choosing skill acquisition goals based on individual choice and the data obtained through assessment.

Write Quarterly and Semi-Annual Reports, submit for review, and distribute to family and support coordinators.

Monitor the implementation of IPP’s.

Attend Behavioral, Residential and other related meetings as requested.

Conduct behavioral observations and complete reports as requested.

In coordination with Coordinator of Behavioral Services, develop a complete functional analysis of challenging behaviors. Analyze the information to better understand the purpose of behavior and how to best address it programmatically (BCaBA’s).

In coordination with Coordinator of Behavioral Services, develop behavioral programs (BCaBA’s).

Review and assess behavioral data and make adjustments/follow-up to the program as necessary (BCaBA’s).

Participate in Local Review Committee Meetings. Present behavioral programs to the committee for approval when necessary (BCaBA’s).

Interact with consumers in an appropriate and positive manner, fostering independence.

Maintain appropriate working schedule including evenings and weekends.

Cooperate and demonstrate positive attitude with parents, guardians, and vendors.

Train DSI staff in skill acquisition and behavioral intervention techniques.

Organize at least 1 monthly activities for all group homes.

Facilitate cohesiveness and goodwill throughout all the homes.

Reviews, and keeps accountability logs for all (Residential and ADT) Quarterly Progress Notes, mailing/emailing them to Support Coordinators and guardians & maintain mailing logs for all individuals (Broward and Palm Beach) send to Admin of Program Support (Miami).

Maintains individual files for skill acquisition programs with data sheets.

Assists in writing SAN’s for Residential Habilitation hours for Residential/ADT for increased funding when requested.

Assists with completion of all IPP’s within 30 days of admission into the agency/group home or within 30 days of Support Plan meeting. Follows the IPP process as stated in the policy and procedures.

Provide Behavioral Supports when necessary.

Coordinate monthly social skills/coping skills classes.

Performs all other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum Associate degree, BA (4 year degree) Preferred

2. BCaBA – Preferred

3. Minimum 2 years of experience in assessment, writing and implementation of skill acquisition programs for persons with developmental disabilities and dual diagnosis. Experience with persons who have challenging behaviors preferred.

4. Valid Florida Class "E" Driver's License and acceptable MVR.

5. Reliable transportation

6. Excellent written & verbal communication skills
