Reporting to the General Manager/Managing Director, your role as Regional Sales Director is to motivate and inspire the sales team to meet top and bottom lines targets while creating an environment that ensures strong productivity with an exceptional excellence in store experience across the region. The Regional Sales Director also maximizes profitability by supporting and implementing all strategic brand initiatives for the region.

The Regional Sales Director is expected to formulate the adequate TR and Local markets commercial development strategies to ensure long-term success while challenging and improving current commercial conditions. This, with the support of the team while identifying and activating the building blocks to grow the business in line with regional and global expectations for the brand. Part of this role is to set standards and objectives for all doors while optimizing and overseeing operations to ensure efficiency.

You will be responsible to ensure best position possible and maximum ROI for the brand in full distribution network, while nurturing a very strong business relationship with each account across TR and local markets in the US and LATAM.

You will be expected to liaise and work in sync with all departments in Miami, Paris and NYC to insure synergies where possible.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Regional Audit

  • Analyze current client list, store distribution, Beauty Advisor resources, client margin structures,

assortments and make recommendations to improve current situation and build the future of the

brand with a long-term vision.

  • Conduct a full audit of state of business and identify areas of improvement

2. Business Development – Commercial strategy

  • Formalize and implement the development growth strategy at regional level by key channel of

distribution and key market

  • Insufflate a category-management approach with strong commercial acumen
  • Negotiate new commercial conditions and margins (when necessary)
  • Establish sell in and sell out targets approach per key retailers and per distributor while motivating

your team to meet expectations

  • Improve and suggest new commercial and Demand planning approach to optimize and refine

forecasting accuracy

  • Oversea monthly forecast and operations business reviews with commercial and operational input

  • Lead quarterly business reviews with key accounts/Markets such as US, Mexico, Argentina, IS,

Dufry

  • Conduct a Distribution strategy audit and optimization with Productivity per door analysis and

competition benchmarks

  • Provide monthly Market trends analysis for key markets and formulate business recommendations

accordingly

  • Define pricing strategy per market and ensure Price positioning is respected
  • Help develop e-com sales performance and strategy with key distributors with e-com manager
  • Sound understanding of optimization of store operations and standards for success
  • Conduct effective and regular stores visits with an emphasis on the internal and external customer

experience, while interacting with the customer on the sales floor and observing selling behaviors

  • Build a strong and respectful relationship with clients/buyers
  • Build a strong and respectful relationship with our BA community
  • Ensure compliance with company’s policies and operational guidelines

3. Management and leadership

You will manage a team of 4 Area Sales Manager + 2 Sales Account Executive

  • Fosters an environment of teamwork and collaboration within market and across all departments
  • Leads with honesty, integrity, humility and demonstrates the Hermes core values
  • Develop a market talent strategy that includes consistent networking/recruitment and succession

planning, while mentoring and developing internal talent

  • Establish clear expectations and assess Store Managers’ performance through consistent

observation, feedback, coaching, store visits, touch bases and performance evaluation

  • Balances competing priorities with a recognition of what is critical
  • Is an effective listener that inspires trust and respect of direct reports
  • Able to effectively lead through uncertainty and adapt to change
  • Takes accountability for delivering results

4. Budget / Finance

  • Supervise P&L per key account and help develop a P&L vision by channel with Finance manager
  • Must work in sync with GM and Finance and Operations manager on P&L management and

optimization

  • Define and work on budget strategy and presentation with GM and the team during key budget

cycles

  • Undertake sound financial management to ensure stores are profitable and stay within budget
  • Deal with problems by providing creative and practical solutions
  • Manage Sales team T&E budget

5. Marketing

  • Support your team to negotiate best Trade and e-com visibility during KCP to be in line with regional

ang global brand priorities

  • Insure your team secure on-time and high-quality implementation/execution of our animations, in

partnership with our Marketing team

6. CAPEX/Merchandising

  • Define CAPEX budget approach with projects follow-up and implementation
  • Implementing ROI approach

7. Training/Motivation

  • Work in sync with our Regional Training team to define Sales delegate and BA community training

session while monitoring budget implications

  • Recommend out of the box sales incentives programs

PROFILE & KEY REQUIREMENTS

o You are a dynamic, entrepreneurial and well-rounded leader and sales professional with a Master

Degree academic background and a minimum of 10 years’ experience in the luxury fragrances

and/or cosmetics category or else within the luxury products industry

o You have a previous experience in TR and/or local markets and understand the business mechanism

of the TR channel and the distributor model with a proven experience as sales leadership position

or similar managerial role

o You have key leadership skills within a small team and confidential type of environment and enjoy

building relationship with team members

o You are fluent in English and Spanish, while French is a plus

o You have a strong sales and business acumen background with analytical skills

o You have an excellent mastery of P&L mechanism and enjoy data and number crunching

o You enjoy being multi-task and wearing multiple hats at the same time

o You are a team player capable to work and travel autonomously as much as working with all team

members

o You have strong negotiation skills while being diplomatic with all business partners and internal

teams involved

o You have excellent problem-solving abilities, and you are agile and can adjust your vision and

business approach according to business reality

o You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills

o You are curious, quick-witted, ingenious

o You have knowledge of performance evaluation metrics and principles.

o You are interested in working within a small, multi-task and fast-growing team environment

o You have a proactive attitude and good organizational skills

o You have an excellent mastery of MS Office, Excel in particular

o You are open to travel – 30% to 50%
