In this roll you will be making a difference by:
The primary function of the Residential Services General Manager position is to provide support and direction to the Residential Services Manager Team.

  • Fulfills the role of Residential Services Manager as needed.
  • Coordinate, evaluate, and support PTC’s residential programs and must work proactively each day to ensure the residential programs they oversee are operating at or above compliance with licensing standards and company policy & procedure.
  • Provide management and oversight that includes evaluation of the program quality and program improvement for services provided.
  • Coordination and evaluation of individual service delivery and must provide supervision, support, and evaluation of activities that include:

(1) Oversight of the responsibilities assigned in the person's coordinated service and support plan and the coordinated service and support plan addendum;
(2) Taking the action necessary to facilitate the accomplishment of the outcomes according to the requirements in section 245D.07;
(3) Instruction and assistance to direct support staff implementing the coordinated service and support plan and the service outcomes, including direct observation of service delivery sufficient to assess staff competency;
(4) Evaluation of the effectiveness ofservice delivery, methodologies, and progress on the person's outcomes based on the measurable and observable criteria for identifying when the desired outcome has been achieved according to the requirements in section 245D.07.

The Residential Services General Manager, assigns, reviews, and/or coordinates the work of Residential Services Managers and other direct care supports to ensure compliance with program and licensing requirements. The Residential Services General Manager ensures work quality and adherence to established individual service plans and policies and procedures; and performs the more complex tasks relative to the assigned area of responsibility. The Residential Services General Manager is effectively the company’s internal licensing unit and is responsible for program compliance.

Additional duties include:

  • Ensure residential programs are compliant and meet licensing standards
  • Manage, train, serve, and support Residential Services Managers
  • Assist with client direct care as needed
  • Maintain and perform audits
  • Conduct clear and thorough communication
  • Demonstrate dependability and reliability at all times
  • Additional duties, as assigned.

To be considered for this roll you must:

  • Have a High School Diploma or its equivalent
  • Ability to pass criminal/registry background checks
  • Ability to pass and maintain required trainings such as CPR/First Aid, Medication Administration, and Position Behavioral Support Training
  • Meet the licensing, contractual, & other mandated requirements of the state
  • Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prosthetic services that will enable these senses to function adequately
  • Possess a valid driver’s license, proof of liability insurance and a satisfactory driving record
  • Ability to read, write and speak English at a level that meets the performance requirements; or must be able to communicate in the language spoken by the individual(s) served at a level that meets the performance requirements; whichever is deemed more important by PTC
  • Meets Designated Coordinator (DC) qualifications per 245D standard
  • Carry a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and daily access to a reliable vehicle
  • Commit to a flexible schedule that includes split shifts, varied days and time that can include mornings, evenings and weekends, holidays, and overnights
  • Be available and responsive at all times to meet program needs
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Residential Services General Manager Preferred Qualifications

  • At least two years of management experience in the disability services field
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or other related work experience
