Brief Summary of Position:

We are seeking a degreed engineer to perform test and debug for both production and development hardware. The job is very hands-on, and the candidate will gain exposure to a broad variety of hardware including frequency synthesizers, RF frequency converters, microwave filters, high speed analog circuitry, and some FPGA and microprocessor-based designs. Testing requires an understanding of RF electronic design to the component level.

Candidates are exposed to the complete product cycle in addition to working side by side with senior design engineers.

Essential Duties of the Position:

• Debug RF circuits and systems
• Execute test procedures
• Identify the points of system failure and report findings to the designers
• Thoroughly qualify products prior to shipment
• Solder under microscope

• 
  Minimum BSEE; MSEE preferred
• Understanding of RF circuits to the component level
• Understanding of microwave network theory and analog/digital communication theory
• Understanding of high-speed analog and digital electronic circuits
• Good soldering skills of SMD components
• Familiarity with the operation of vector network analyzer, spectrum analyzer, vector signal analyzer, and other modern test and measurement equipment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent mechanical aptitude
• Ability to work with very fine hand tools
• Self-starter attitude
• Willingness to work cross-functionally
• 10+ years of relevant work experience
• Experience in test and measurement instrument programming and SCPI interface is a plus
• Experience coding in C/C++ or Python is a plus
